“It's weird to try and photograph your living space in a completely new way. Such a familiar place presents a challenge when trying to make it look and feel new and interesting. But it feels refreshing. Taking photos has always felt somewhat therapeutic for me; or at the bare minimum, extremely pleasant. So to take a place that's so understandably boring for me, a place that I've been seeing a lot of in recent times, and to find a way to take pictures that are intriguing and new is certainly hard, but really fun. I wanted to try and work with light and shadows, so as to see things in a different way. Another thing I wanted to do through my photography is abstract certain elements to create an odd view of the world. While taking pictures with such a limited location is unfortunate, I fully appreciate the challenge of it.”
